On August 22nd JL Brasil was created by an innovative young man who was only eighteen years old at the time.
His older brother, a natural born salesman, joined him at JL and transformed the company from an innovation into a business.
It was the beginning of a company which would quickly meet with success.

JL Brasil started to manufacture custom made die cut parts (with or without adhesive).

JL Brasil started to manufacture custom made pressure sensitive plastic labels through the following printing processes: silk screen, hot-stamping, off-set and flexography.

| 1982 |
| JL modernized its production facility and implemented Quality Assurance System. |

| 1994 |
JL Brasil became an AMCHAM Brasil associated member.

| 1998 |
JL Brasil became the first Brazilian label manufacturer to be recognized by UL – Underwriters Laboratories Inc.

JL Brasil became ISO 9001:2000 compliant

| 2007 |
The Green Supplier Program was launched in order to meet RoHS and REACH compliance regulations for all the products manufactured by JL.
The Company started to submit its products’ data to IMDS (International Material Data System).

| 2008 |
Lean manufacturing techniques were applied to the Company’s production system.

|

| 2011 |
JL Brasil became a TLMI (Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute) associated company. |
